Bendigo Hills
Pinot Gris 2019
Generous aromas of Central Otago apricots, gentle hay & roasted nuts; the wine has an intensely concentrated flavoursome & silky palate and a lovely linear acidity, complemented by a savoury spiciness.
“Bright, moderate yellow with depth, slightly lighter edged. The nose is full and voluminous, nuances of flint, savoury bread crust melded with honeysuckle and stonefruit. Medium-full bodied, dry to taste, aromas of Nashi pear, apricots entwined with honeysuckle, fennel flower and a hint of flint. The mouthfeel is unctuous and flows with chalky phenolics; acidity is lively, draws a long line to finish. This elegant Pinot Gris possesses ripe fruit and lively acidity on a textural palate. Match with lemongrass fish and wontons over the next 3-4 years. Handpicked, whole bunch pressed, fermented to 13.5% alc, 1.5g/l RS, matured on lees for 12 months. BioGro organic certified. 18/20 pts (90 pts) Aug 2021” - Raymond Chan Wine Reviews by Candice Chow
